Bee Stinger Spear in 99 Nights in the Forest

The Bee Stinger Spear is the early melee answer to a game built around kiting. Its poison slow will not match the Ice Bow, but it makes close-range fighting survivable long before you can reach the Snow Biome.

Short answer

The Bee Stinger Spear comes from the bee biome content and applies a light poison slow on hit. It is the best early-to-mid melee option because the slow partially compensates for your speed disadvantage before you can reach the Ice Bow.

Why a slow matters in melee

Melee is normally the weak choice here, because you cannot outrun what you are fighting. A slow flips part of that: the target stays in range longer, but it also closes on you more slowly, which is the part that keeps you alive.

Bee biome route

How to get it

  1. 1Stabilise an early camp — this is early-to-mid content, not day-one content.
  2. 2Locate the bee biome content area.
  3. 3Farm the bee combat materials, including the Bee Stinger.
  4. 4Craft the spear at the appropriate bench level.
  5. 5Consider adding a Bee Box if you want the Honey and Honeycomb line as well.

Bee Box is a separate investment

The Bee Box costs flowers and wood and periodically produces Honey and Honeycomb. It supports the wider bee line — including the Honey Beenade — rather than the spear itself.

Situational value

When to use it

  • Early-to-mid melee before Snow Biome access.
  • Fights where you want the target slowed rather than burst down.
  • Clearing single tough enemies where kiting is impractical.
  • As a backup when ranged ammo is a problem.

Do not fight immortal hunters with it

The slow helps you disengage, but no melee weapon turns The Deer, The Owl or The Ram into a reward. Use the slow to leave, not to finish.

Honest status

What we are verifying

  • The exact recipe and required bench level.
  • Poison damage, duration and slow strength.
  • Whether the bee biome is permanently available or event-gated.
  • Durability or repair behaviour.

What to do next

  • Use it as a bridge weapon until you can reach the Ice Bow.
  • Add a Bee Box if you want the wider bee line, including the Honey Beenade.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get the Bee Stinger Spear in 99 Nights in the Forest?
It comes from the bee biome content introduced with the Bee MINI Biome update. We publish the route and the role; the exact recipe is still being verified in game.
Is the Bee Stinger Spear worth crafting?
Yes if you are melee-focused and not yet able to reach the Snow Biome. The poison slow is the reason — it gives you a version of the Ice Bow’s advantage without the trip.
How does it compare to the Ice Bow?
The Ice Bow is better because ranged plus slow is safer than melee plus slow. The Bee Stinger Spear is the earlier, more accessible version of the same idea.
Do I need the Bee Box for it?
Not necessarily for the spear itself — the Bee Box produces Honey and Honeycomb for the wider bee line, including the Honey Beenade. The spear uses bee biome combat materials.
