99 Nights Survival Checklist

A run in 99 Nights in the Forest changes shape every 15–20 days. This checklist breaks the 99 nights into five phases, with 37 concrete actions in the order that actually works. Tick as you go — progress saves in your browser.

What this checklist deliberately does not do

This checklist describes order and priority, not exact resource counts. We deliberately avoid publishing timing or cost formulas we have not measured in game.

It also does not lock you into a build. Every item is a priority, not a rule — if your run is already past a phase, use it as an audit instead of a plan.

How the phases are built

The bands follow what actually changes in a run. Days 1–5 are about surviving night one. Days 6–15 turn a campfire into a base. Days 16–35 are when expeditions and Crafting Bench 3 become possible. Days 36–70 cover the Crafting Bench 4 gem wall and the night 50 shift, when pressure moves onto your structures. Days 71–99 are endgame: the Gem of the Forest, bench 5, and holding a base that is now the primary target.

For the reasoning behind individual items, use the Beginner Guide and the Campfire Levels guide.
